Dr. David is passionate about educating his patients, thorough diagnosis, symptom management, and home care. He has witnessed on too many occasions the effects of under-treatment and lack of follow-up with regard to musculo-skeletal disorders. He specializes in discogenic injuries, scar tissue and pain management through natural inflammation reduction methods. He is a big proponent of diet and exercise with professional intervention as necessary.
Dr. David started as a massage therapist in 2003. His initial training included diverse modalities comprised of Sensory Repatterning, Tui Na, Reiki, Ne Gong Gi Lioa and Thai Massage in addition to western modalities. He eventually studied and received his Thai Massage teacher certification in Chaing Mai, Thailand, which he uses to teach Thai Massage to other bodyworkers. He returned to school for undergraduate studies in dance and biology before beginning his Chiropractic degree. His intention was to increase his knowledge base, understanding and scope of practice in order to better serve people.
A typical session for new patients includes a thorough history and exam for problem areas with adjusting, soft-tissue work, home care suggestions, and discussion about the nature of a given injury. He is open to and understanding of all questions and also refers out for conditions that are not appropriate or could be handled better by a colleague. His goal with every patient is to help them understand what they need in order to make personal progress and to help them get there as soon as possible.
Personal interests include Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Angola Capoeira, yoga and meditation. His background gives him a sincere appreciation for all approaches to health and personal growth. He also volunteers through a non-profit for local sports events as a physician-on-staff.
